Elnor Lucille Gantzer, 91, of Chase Avenue, Bridgeport, Ohio, died peacefully Thursday, February 13, 2003 in the East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care Center at Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Elnor was born July 17, 1911 at Bridgeport, Ohio, the daughter of the late George Anthony and Rose Anne Keane Gantzer.
She was an alumna of St. Joseph Academy and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Bridgeport. She was Executive Secretary to the manager of Associate Discount Corp. of Wheeling, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, Elnor was preceded in death by brothers Howard, Gerald, and Bernard Gantzer, sister Martha Gantzer Coyne, and nephew Jack Gantzer.
Elnor is survived by her nephews and nieces: Monsignor George Coyne, Richard Coyne, Jerry Coyne, James Timothy Coyne, Gerald Gantzer, Donald Gantzer, Robert Gantzer, Bernard Gantzer, Carol Retterer, and Jane Byrne.
Her funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday, February 18 at the funeral home due to a major snow storm in the area that week.
